Dr. Laura Ispas is an Allergy and Immunology specialist with over 25 years of clinical experience caring for children (ages 5 and older) and adults with allergic, asthmatic, and immune-related conditions. She is the founder and medical director of Allergy Asthma & Immunology Institute in Leesburg, Virginia.
Dr. Ispas has extensive advanced training in Allergy and Immunology following her Internal Medicine residency and has dedicated more than two decades to diagnosing complex allergic diseases, asthma, eczema, chronic hives, food allergies, and immunologic disorders.
She is widely recognized for her expertise in allergic rhinitis and asthma, particularly in patients whose symptoms remain poorly controlled despite standard therapies. Her approach emphasizes precise diagnosis, personalized care, and long-term symptom control.
Dr. Laura Ispas began her medical education at the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timișoara, Romania.
She subsequently continued her postgraduate medical training in the United States at the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University where she completed her graduate medical education.
Dr. Ispas completed three years of Internal Medicine residency training (1996–1999), with her clinical education based at Pitt County Memorial Hospital, now known as ECU Health Medical Center in Greenville, North Carolina. During this time, she developed extensive experience in the management of complex adult medical conditions.
Following residency, she completed two additional years of subspecialty fellowship training in Allergy and Immunology at East Carolina University, focusing on allergic diseases, asthma, and immune-mediated disorders.
Dr. Ispas is board certified by the National Board of Physicians and Surgeons (NBPAS) and has more than 25 years of dedicated clinical experience exclusively in Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology. She is the Founder and CEO of Allergy Asthma & Immunology Institute, providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to pediatric and adult patients.
